Peptide Certificates of Analysis. Every lot, on the record.
Each Synagenics lot is tested by an independent laboratory, and the certificate of analysis (COA) for that lot is published here. Read the results, check the lot number, and see exactly what was tested.
What a certificate of analysis tells you.
A certificate of analysis is the laboratory's written report on a specific lot of material. It records what was sent in, which tests were run, the measured results, and the standard each result was judged against. Our research compounds are sold on the strength of this paperwork, so we publish it.
For research buyers, a COA answers four practical questions: is it the compound on the label, how pure is it, how much is in the vial, and was it screened for contamination. Each report is tied to a lot number, so you can match the document to the vial in your hands.
Identity
Mass spectrometry confirms the molecular mass of the compound matches the expected mass, within the lab's stated tolerance.
Purity
HPLC reports the share of the detected signal that belongs to the target compound, shown as an area percentage.
Net peptide content
The measured amount of peptide in the vial, compared with the amount stated on the label.
Sterility screen
A rapid screen that checks the sample for target contaminant DNA. The report states the result and the method used.
How to read a COA in six steps.
Reports from different labs look different, but they all follow the same logic. Work through these steps and you can check any COA in a couple of minutes.
Match the lot number
Find the lot or batch number at the top of the report and compare it with the label on your vial. If they differ, you have the wrong document.
Check the sample details
Look for the product name, label claim, vial size, sample condition and received date. This confirms what the lab actually received.
Read the identity result
The observed mass should sit within tolerance of the theoretical mass. A small mass error means the compound matches.
Read the purity result
Purity is reported as area percent against an acceptance limit. The result passes when it meets or beats that limit.
Compare the net peptide amount
Divide the measured amount by the label claim. Reports usually allow a stated range around the label amount.
Look for the verification details
Many reports carry a report number, issue date and a verification code or QR so the document can be confirmed with the lab.
Independent laboratories. Not in-house.
We do not grade our own work. Samples go to outside analytical labs, and the lab issues the report under its own name.

How a COA reaches this page.
Every published report follows the same path, so the document you read belongs to the lot you hold.
Lot assigned
Each production lot receives its own lot number, printed on the vial label.
Sample sent out
A vial from the lot goes to an independent laboratory for analysis.
Lab reports results
The lab tests the sample and issues its own certificate of analysis.
Report published
The COA is added to the library, searchable by product and lot number.
COA frequently asked questions.
What is a certificate of analysis (COA)?
A COA is a laboratory report for a specific lot. It lists the tests performed, the measured results and the standard each result was judged against. It is tied to a lot number so it can be matched to a vial.
How do I find the COA for my lot?
Use the search box in the COA library above and enter the product name or the lot number printed on your vial. If you cannot find it, email support@synagenics.com with the lot number and we will send the report.
What does HPLC purity mean?
High-performance liquid chromatography separates a sample into its components. Purity is reported as area percent: a result of 99.87% means 99.87% of the detected peak area belongs to the target compound.
What does the identity result show?
Mass spectrometry measures the molecular mass of the sample. If the observed mass matches the theoretical mass within the lab's stated tolerance, the identity is confirmed.
What is net peptide content?
It is the measured amount of peptide in the vial compared with the label claim. For example, a 20 mg label with a measured 20.94 mg falls within a typical plus or minus 10% range.
What does the rapid PCR sterility screen show?
It is a screening test that looks for target contaminant DNA. A result of "target DNA not detected" means none was found by that method. It is a screen and is described as such on the report.
Who tests Synagenics lots?
Independent third-party laboratories, currently Freedom Diagnostics and Axiom Analytics Laboratories. Testing is not done in-house.
Does a COA apply to every vial in a lot?
A COA reports on the sample the laboratory tested. Labs state that results relate to the item or portion tested, which is why each report is tied to a lot number.
Are Synagenics products for human use?
No. All products are sold for laboratory research use only and are not for human or animal consumption.
More from Synagenics.
Can't find your lot?
Send us the lot number and the product name. We will email you the certificate of analysis.
